CROSS-BORDER CULTURAL COOPERATION BETWEEN BRNO AND ST. PÖLTEN

About the Project

Tigers and Lions 2026 is a pilot cross-border project of the cultural centres INDUSTRA in Brno and Kulturzentrum Löwinnenhof in St. Pölten. Through contemporary art and themes resonating with younger generations, it offers a new perspective on the shared cultural space of South Moravia and Lower Austria.

The project aims to share know-how through workshops, staff shadowing and artist residencies, and to develop a 2030 Strategy for long-term cross-border cultural cooperation.

Planned Activities

The joint activities will involve cultural and creative sector professionals, artists, invited experts and other stakeholders from Czechia and Austria.

Schedule

Period Activity
July 2026 Cultural centre strategy; programming and production; marketing and communications; external relations and partnerships
August 2026 Financial management, grants and fundraising; preparation of artist residencies in the partner country
September 2026 Staff shadowing and mentored artist residencies
October 2026 Evaluation of the cooperation to date, SWOT analysis and cultural landscape analysis
November 2026 Sustainability, partnerships, and finalisation of the 2030 Strategy and action plan
December 2026 Completion of outputs and project closure

The activities will take place at INDUSTRA in Brno and Kulturzentrum Löwinnenhof in St. Pölten.
